In the darkest depths of my despair, I wrote this song. My kids were young, my marriage was struggling, and I was consumed by depression. On a personal level, I felt lost and hopeless, and the world around me was also in chaos and pain. The Sandy Hook tragedy hit close to home, as my own boys were around the same age as the victims.
I asked God why all of this was happening. “Are You Still There?”
I cried out…and found hope.
